These pages will keep you informed about all the Master Black Storytellers who will perform at this year's 11th Annual "Signifyin' & Testifyin'" ® storytelling festival.  The dates are September 26-28, 2002 in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN.

Friday, September 27, 2002

9:00 AM - 2:00 PM:

Free Storytelling Concerts for Minneapolis & St. Paul Metropolitan area school children.  The concerts are 45 minutes each and open to all schools and day care centers in the metropolitan area.  Reservations are required and given on a "first call (612) 529-5864, first served basis".  (Of course, you can also email your requests!) Teachers (or their designees) are required to attend as chaperones for their students.

    Liar's Contest

    6:30 - 9:00 PM

An opportunity for you to tell your best Tall Tale in open competition .  The winner gets her/his name placed on the Aesop Liar's Cup and receives an inscribed trophy cup to keep as a symbol of verbal prowess.  All lies must be in good taste and within a 3 minute limit!

Grand Finale Concert

The Master Storytellers will perform at the FINEST; THE MOST ENJOYABLE; "I'M SO GLAD I CAME!" event in the Twin Cities area.  Open to the whole family, this is a "Don't Miss!" occasion!
